I'm ecstatic to relay the news that NBC is bringing American Gladiators back for the mid-fall season. NBC, completely oblivious to any recent scandals relating to steroids and professional wrestling, will once again be showing us musclebound men and women in spandex destroying the dreams of little (usually single parent) athletes from around the country.
My favorite events are Assualt, Conquest, Joust and the football one.

Didn't they try this a couple years ago? I don't think there's any way it's successful. Part of what makes AG so great is the 80's cheesiness of it all. NBC will definitely screw it up somehow.
I'm hoping they bring it back it it's exact cheesy form, porn moustaches and all.
Thiesmann's ESPN contract prevents him from broadcasting sports, but does it prevent him from hosting a quasi-athletic competition? I say bring back Thiesmann and Csonka to rotate.
I don't think there was anything that I wanted more as a child than the tennis ball cannon.
That event was awesome. If you missed with that first nerf rocket launcher, you had better hope you could get to the tennis balls. I saw some people just shoot the crappier weapons into the ceiling just to avoid exposure.
