Jets Deal Kendall to Redskins for Mid-Round Pick

I hate the Jets. They're the only team that consistently allows the Redskins to make deals that aren't patently moronic. First it was off-loading Patrick Ramsey for a draft pick and Laveranues Coles for Santana Moss. Now the Jets have sent noted malcontent G Pete Kendall to the Skins in exchange for a mid-round pick.

This definitely looks like a (rare) win for the Redskins, who benefit from the Jets' unwillingness to negotiate with Kendall and Pete's own self-immolation caused by incessant complaints about management.

Just one question: How does this get Pete Kendall a new deal? If he thought Jets' management was bad, what is he going to think of the holy triumverate of incompetence at Redskins Park? At first blush, this deal looks great for the Skins, but what's to keep him from just changing the venue of his holdout?

I guess we'll find out soon.

The Redskins giving him a $1 million raise has prevented the venue of the holdout from changing. He'll be in pads tomorrow pending passing a physical today. I HATE giving up more draft picks, but Campbell wouldn't have made it to Week 3 with the situation that existed.

Who says Pete Kendall will make it through Preseason Week 3 when Ngata and Kelly Gregg start rolling up the back of his unconditioned knees?

it is obivious to me, that you guys have nothing else going on in your life except talking about maryland sports teams. open up, there are how many other states in this country that have sporting teams much better than yours.

I don't know, two? I'm thinking of Massachusetts. There's gotta be another one somewhere.

Plus, what bigger news was there in the NFL today than the Pete Kendall trade? How is our parade of Michael Vick stories and NFL officiating stories and F1 and NBA related to Maryland at all.

Lastly, we named our blog East Coast Bias for a reason. We're not going to write about how Nick Punto is a really underrated player because none of us give a shit about Nick Punto. If we wanted to spend our free time writing about shit we don't care about, we'd be freelance writers.
