Hey Mike Singletary... F**K YOU!!

Athlete

Washed-up athlete who looks like a grown-up Steve Urkel

Warning... curse words below...

Fuck Mike Singletary. There, I said it. Fuck Mike Singletary. Big Mike, you want to come after me? I'm going to give you J-Red's address.

But seriously, you have the friggin balls to call out and embarrass Vernon Davis the way that you did? Did you not see Vernon Davis chase down (fellow Terp) Josh Wilson all the way into the end zone on Wilson's INT return? Did you not notice that the Cyborg (Terp fans nickname for him after Doc Walker took to calling him this) was the ONLY 49er player within 40 yards of Wilson when he traipsed across the end zone? Hmm... maybe you were too busy down on your hands and knees praying that your excuse of a QB J.T. O'Sullivan would actually play like an NFL QB.

And now from my East Coast Bias and Terrapin red-colored glasses... where the fuck do you get off treating a Terp like that? Let alone a guy like VD who has played his heart out for a sadsack loser of a franchise that has never incorporated him correctly into the offense and that has never given him anybody with a shred of talent to get him the ball. Seriously, good for you Mike. Make an example out of Vernon. In fact, if you don't want to play with him and you'd prefer to play with 10 guys, when you come to DC in September, we'll take you up on that. We'll also have Vernon's friends from Dunbar meet you in the parking lot after the game.

I can't wait for Vernon to get out of San Francisco. You hate him so much? Excellent. I'm sure that the Cyborg will have a really tough time landing someplace else. I don't know... someplace that might actually have an offense to utilize him with. Keep this in mind... Vernon Davis is not a bust of a draft pick. He's an athlete of the highest caliber who had the unfortunate luck of being drafted into a bust of a franchise.

I totally disagree. Any time a coach takes a stand against stupid penalties, it's a good thing. I'm glad to see Singletary draw a line in the sand for the Niners.

Shocking that you're from Maryland which is where this 'waste' essentially played his last games.

This douche couldn't carry Singletary's jock. Just cuz he's a freak physically doesn't mean squat. He's a total drain on their organization and I'm sure they can't wait to dish him problem is no one wants him.

Lets break it down....
Currently, this #6 overall pick (cough, cough), the highest paid TE in football is ranked the 3rd WORST TE in the league currently with 0 TDs and a whopping 16 catches all season. Hope singletary just benches him until they can cut him loose.

7 TDs in a 3 yr career...they should have just drafted a kicker instead

Mike Singletary crossed "the line", and bashed his player openly during the gamer, in the media, and it was well deserved. It's about time this happened in the NFL! Being an old school fan of the NFL it's time to stop letting the inmates run the asylum, and show these guy that they still have to respect their team and coach.

Go Singletary!

Whose fault is it that their o-line is so bad he has to stay back and block every play? I haven't seen much of SF this year, but everything I've heard indicates that VD is one of (if not) the best blocking TE's in the league.

Last time I checked, VD was a disease. Dr. Mike is the right cure !

J-Red sober up before you type this stuff. Good Lord, highest paid TE, one of the lowest rated, 0 TDs, a stupid penalties on a suck team, and you want to praise him just because he went to the same school as you. Put the Zima down and step away from the keyboard!

Anonymous, that was Jeremy, not J-Red.

J-Red is unable to post because he's in mourning that Zima was discontinued last week.

I was irked when I read this and I am glad to see that most of the people are on the sied I was going to advocate. I am not a 49er fan but living on the west coast I have the misfortune of seeing a lot of their games on TV. And lets just say that, on the rare occasion that Davis actually runs out a pass pattern, he has hands of stone. The guy drops more passes than Braylon Edwards.

Meet Singletary in the parking lot? Are you f*kin kidding me? This guy was one of the toughest guys ever in the NFL. Along with LT, he helped re-define the linebacker position. He was the captain, the heart and the best player on the best defense in NFL history. He may have turned 50 earlier this month, but I wouldn't mess with him. Thank goodness a coach finally had the balls to stand up and do something like this...in a league (and all of professional sports nowadays) that is increasingly run by multi-million dollar crybabies.

I agree with Brien.

Singletary is a Hall of Famer, one of the top three LBs ever. VD couldn't carry Mike's jock on his best day.VD is a self centered egotist that needs to become a team player.he needs lessons on how to hold on to the ball and leave his bricks at home. You want toughness, take a lesson from the Singletary handbook.

I assume Jeremy posted that tongue-in-cheek. No one is that big of a homer. I love what Singletary did. I wish more coaches had the balls to do that. But now the team has to respond. He can't do that every week.

Anonymous, you can call me a drunk but I won't stand for being called a Zima-swilling drunk.

I don't think Singletary is ready to be a head coach. That being said, the one way to make yourself seem ready to be a head coach is to lay down the law early. He did that to VD, and I respect that. As the #6 overall pick, Mike probably knew people in San Fran would react positively, and I think they have.

VD has two options: Sulk and join the ranks of Jerramy Stevens or man up and prove he belongs. I think he'll man up.

J-Red said...

And "ready to be a head coach" is almost silly these days looking at John Harbaugh, Jim Zorn and Atlanta's everyman-named head coach. Everyone who says coaching is overrated probably has a great point. It's MANAGEMENT that's critical.

I disagree with J-Red, but I also know that he wouldn't drink Zima.

Who is better, Todd Heap or Vernon Davis?

"ben" said...

Jeremy...

Seriously?

J-Red said...

Dewey,

Seriously, it's a toss-up. Heap has better hands, but he hasn't shown them. Vernon is more capable of out-muscling guys, but he hasn't shown it.

That's like asking which 2-6 team has the best odds of making the playoffs.

Brien said...

Even Vernon himself doesn't agree with Jeremy.

I think this has been done to death, but I'm on Singletary's side on this. My question was more regarding how long you think it will be before this is cut up for a Coors Light commercial?
